A Surrey village residents campaign is being fought and will continue until Stanwell Moor residents are compensated for 60-years of living under the Southern Runway flightpath.
Spelthorne Council has gone on record that it will cancel its support for Heathrow Airports expansion if the village is not included in the Wider Property Offer Zone.
Supported by Spelthorne Council, by MP Kwasi Kwarteng and 1,200 residents the Stanwell Moor, Wider Property Offer Zone [WPOZ] campaign continues for the-most-blighted-airport-community within the Heathrow Airport perimeter.
Spelthorne Borough Council, our Westminster MP, plus Local Businesses and other Local Stakeholders support our campaign. Heathrow Director Rob Gray during negotiations promised Stanwell Moor would be included in the WPOZ.
The only people dragging their feet is Heathrow Airport Ltd said Jim McIlroy the Stanwell Moor Compensation Campaign founder.”
Residents took over a meeting by Heathrow where they demanded answers of Rob Gray Heathrow Airports Director of Communications when he was found to be lying and had to admit a construction site would operate in a field (in the heart of the village) for 30-years should the exension go ahead. – The rest of his replies were dismissed as Lies, Lies and more Lies!
“The residents are long-overdue compensation, Stanwell Moor is the most blighted community in the Heathrow perimeter. We have suffered as we live directly under the Southern runway flightpath with noise, aircaft pollution and ill-health for over six-decades. Stanwell Moor should have had a compensation package many years ago.
A day in the life of the people of Stanwell Moor
This once pleasant village is blighted by Heathrow Airport and this affects the lives of everyone who lives there as aircraft fly over (every 30-seconds) yet Heathrow Airport Limited has never compensated the residents. However Heathrow are compensating people who live in other villages who have never been affected by the airport. – WHY? – Because they want to build a new runway!
“Heathrow Airport the busiest airport in the world should be ashamed of themselves. These people need compensation, in fact they deserve a medal for putting up with this and living here. .”HAL, Stanwell Moor needs to be compensated too.
Heathrow Airport affects the lives of everyone who lives in Stanwell Moor whether as the biggest employer or the worst neighbour. Despite aircraft flying over the village (every 30-seconds) or pollution from those aircraft for the last 60-years. Yet Heathrow Airport Limited has never compensated the residents.
“We had no other option than to put a stop to yet another shameful staged event by Heathrow trying to sell the benefits of the airports expansion even though it meant substantially more flights and increased pollution for our village".
"The residents of Stanwell Moor are long-overdue compensation. This village by a country-mile is the most blighted community within the Heathrow perimeter. We have suffered with aircaft noise and pollution for over six-decadesas we live directly under the Southern runway flightpath. Stanwell Moor should have had a compensation package many years ago and it should have been first-on-the-list when this new compensation sheme was dreamt up. - Said Jim McIlroy the Stanwell Moor Compensation Campaign founder".
